    Job Description

We are seeking licensed Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioners to join our team at Upstate Urology located in Utica, NY. You will work in collaboration with a physician in the OR and Clinic throughout the week. Experienced candidates as well as new graduates will be considered.

     

    The Advanced Practice Provider (NP/PA) is responsible for providing competent medical care in accordance with the professional scope of practice and current regulatory statutes. As an APP you will be expected to perform hospital consults and rounds, clinic, take patient’s history, perform physical examinations, attend biweekly tumor board meetings, treatment planning within the scope of practice and interpret all available health data to determine patient’s needs and problems. Demonstrates personal commitment to staying current in field of knowledge, expanding knowledge and skill, and contributing to organizational success. Displays ability to work in an ever-changing environment and participate constructively in change processes.

    Education/Experience Requirements

    REQUIRED:

    + Master’s degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner's Program OR certification from an accredited NP program OR completion of an accredited Physician Assistant Program required.

    + Ability to meet and maintain credentialing requirements and hospital priviledges.

    + Knowledge and competency in a wide range of clinical areas.

     

    Licensure/Certification Requirements

    REQUIRED:

    + Current NYS Nurse Practitioner licenses OR Current NYS license as a Physician Assistant with prescription privileges.

    + Current BCLS, ACLS certifications.

    PREFERRED:

    + Active ANCC certification in relevant specialty
