Jenny Bour with Robert Half is seeking an experienced Medical Billing Manager to lead and oversee the medical billing operations for a growing non-profit organization. This Medical Billing Manager role is responsible for managing the revenue cycle, ensuring timely and accurate billing, collections, and reimbursement processes. The ideal Medical Billing Manager candidate will have strong leadership skills and a background in medical or behavioral health billing. Key Responsibilities

+ Supervise the daily operations of the medical billing team, ensuring workflow efficiency.

+ Hire, train, and mentor billing staff to maintain a high-performing team.

+ Oversee all aspects of the billing process, including charge entry, payment posting, claims submission, follow-ups, patient statements, and collections.

+ Monitor and maintain Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to revenue cycle performance.

+ Conduct regular training sessions to enhance the billing team’s knowledge and efficiency.

+ Identify and implement process improvements to optimize revenue collection.

+ Ensure prompt resolution of billing corrections and audit delinquent accounts to maximize collections.

+ Review and manage accounts receivable aging reports, making recommendations for bad debt write-offs when necessary.

+ Reconcile medical billing transactions and prepare financial reports for month-end and annual audits.

+ Facilitate regular meetings to address billing and collection concerns.

+ Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and all relevant financial and security policies.

+ Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure billing operations align with organizational goals.

Requirements

+ 7+ years of experience in medical billing (preferably in behavioral health, hospital, or physician settings).

+ 3+ years of supervisory or management experience.

+ Strong understanding of revenue cycle processes and payer requirements.

+ Experience using billing platforms and payer portals.

+ Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting.

+ Ability to manage multiple billing systems or learn new systems quickly.

+ AS/BS degree preferred; Billing and/or Coding certification is a plus.

+ Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.

+ Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
