    Position Summary:

    Under the general direction of the Director, Physician Financial Operations the primary responsibilities of this position will include: providing physicians and management with financial information so that appropriate business decisions can be made in SMG.

     

    Department: Financial Planning

     

    This is a full-time 40 hour/ week position

    Responsibilities:

    + Assist in month end accounting duties related to physician compensation, contract analysis, new business development, program expansion, and forecasting.

    + Additionally, this position will assist in various internal reporting, to include key performance indicators, physician and group productivity and revenue and expense analysis as well as various external survey reporting.

    BASIC KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/APTITUDE/EXPERIENCE:

    + Possess technical and professional analytical skills.

    + Have the ability to develop financial and other operational models to accurately control organization activities.

    + Have familiarity with data processing capabilities and procedures.

    + Be able to operate a PC with appropriate spreadsheet and database functionality.

    + Maintain daily and monthly routines.

    + Have strong problem-solving skills, be able to interact well with various departmental managers and directors to resolve problems and ensure proper scheduling and accuracy of financial information.

    + Knowledge of Meditech and IDX billing systems, Allscripts, including MD Comp, labor distribution, POS collections and working knowledge of CPT and wRVU’s required.

    + Will assist in future implementation of LPMS for SMG, distribution of reporting and gathering data.

    + Product data to be displayed on BSC.

    + Assist with budget and actual-to-budget variance.

    Education/Experience/Licenses/Technical/Other:

    + Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Math or related field required,

    + Experience: M ore than two years’ experience in Healthcare.
