    We are seeking a **_Senior Research Data Analyst in Vector-Borne Disease Epidemiology_** who can conduct statistical and epidemiological analyses focused on vector-borne disease transmission. This project will focus on the use of various data sets (behavioral, genomic, serological, immunological, and epidemiological) to understand transmission patterns of vector-borne diseases including malaria, dengue, and Zika. The position will require the development, evaluation, and investigation of statistical frameworks to understand disease transmission and ultimately inform public health policy. Experience working in primary data collection and in molecular epidemiology are a plus.

    Specific Duties & Responsibilities

    + The specific duties will require developing statistical models to understand vector-borne disease transmission.

    + The position will require writing scientific manuscripts, public health reports, and scientific presentations.

    Special Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

    + Infectious disease modeling.

    + Coding in R.

    + Management of ‘big data’.

    + Experience in primary data collection.

    + Experience in molecular epidemiology.

    Minimum Qualifications

    + Master's Degree in related discipline. Typically require PhD.

    + One year related experience. Require highly specialized advanced knowledge, education and/or training in a specialized field of study to conduct research.

    + Experience in conducting analyses of vector-borne diseases epidemiological data sets. The applicant should have experience in advanced statistical methods, knowledge of infectious disease epidemiology, experience working with vector-borne diseases, and molecular epidemiology.

    + Demonstrated ability on significant graduate project or additional doctoral education may substitute for experience to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.

    Preferred Qualifications

    + Experience in mathematical modeling, genomic or immunological research experience.

    Starting Salary Range: $55,800 - $97,600 Annually (commensurate w/exp.)

    The listed salary range represents the minimum and maximum Johns Hopkins University offers for this position, based on a good faith estimate at the time of posting. Actual compensation will vary depending on factors such as location, skills, experience, market conditions, education, and internal equity. Not all candidates will qualify for the highest salary in the range.
