    The Division of Gastroenterology in the Department of Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for several Associate or Full Professor positions in the non-tenure clinician educator track. Applicants must have an M.D or M.D./Ph.D. degree. Applicants be board certified or board eligible in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. Rank will be commensurate with experience.

     

    Teaching responsibilities may include teaching Penn medical students, residents, fellows and advanced practice providers.

     

    Clinical responsibilities may include outpatient and inpatient clinical care at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania (HUP), Penn Presbyterian Medical Center (PPMC), Pennsylvania Hospital (PAH) and/or Penn Medicine at Radnor (PMR) that specializes in inflammatory bowel disease, motility/physiology, hepatology, advanced endoscopy, and/or general gastroenterology.

     

    Research or scholarship responsibilities may include include participation in clinical, epidemiological, or translational research in an area of gastroenterology or hepatology, as well as collaboration with others in the Penn community. The selected candidate will be expected to develop and grow a collaborative and extramurally funded research program in the areas of clinical interest. The selected candidate will also be expected to produce high-quality research which will lead to publications. Evidence of research or scholarship is required in the Clinician Educator track. Applicants with National and International reputations are encouraged to apply.

     

    Applicants will have demonstrated excellent qualifications in education, research, and clinical care. Specifically, candidates must have demonstrated ability to obtain and maintain funding for their research, including federal sources. Selected candidates will join a highly interactive and exciting multidisciplinary academic and clinical environment at the University of Pennsylvania as an integral member of the Division of Gastroenterology and will have opportunities to teach in the GI fellowship and internal medicine residency programs at the Perelman School of Medicine.
