    Transportation Driver-Must Be Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

    GENERAL PURPOSE -

    Under the direction and supervision of the Director of Nursing or designee, the transportation aide is responsible for assisting and transporting residents as directed to and from appointments and in providing quality nursing care to residents as required.

    QUALIFICATIONS -

    + Must be a Certified Nursing Assistant or equivalent in other medical certification or license in good standing

    + Must have valid state driver’s license with a good driving record

    + Must have at least 3 years' experience as a licensed driver

    + Demonstrate thorough knowledge of traffic laws and defensive driving

    + Experience in operating van, wheelchair lift equipment, and transporting oxygen preferred

    + Must have the ability to safely drive facility transport vehicle

    + Must be at least 21 years of age

    + Possess the ability to communicate effectively and work independently

    + Must be capable of performing the ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS and PHYSICAL AND SENSORY REQUIREMENTS FOR ALL JOB FUNCTIONS as outlined below.
