Job Summary

Novant Health is seeking a skilled and compassionate Inpatient Psychiatrist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in psychiatry with a focus on providing high-quality psychiatric services in an acute behavioral health setting.

Opportunity Highlights:

+ The Inpatient Psychiatrist will be caring for assigned patients on our 62-bed adult unit

+ Opportunity for either 7 on/ 7 off schedule or five days a week

+ Ability to teach Novant Health Psychiatric Residents

Candidate Qualifications:

+ Board-certified or board-eligible in Psychiatry

Responsibilities & Duties:

+ Patient population: 18+ for acute care, potential to consult on those below 18 when needed

+ Complete daily rounding and timely documentation on assigned patients

+ Collaborative approach with multidisciplinary treatment team that includes providers, nursing, therapy and support staff

+ Provide supervision and mentorship of psychiatric residents and medical students

+ APP Supervision

+ Two-year salary guarantee
