    Work Year: ESY 2025

     

    Supervisor: Director of Pupil Personnel Services

    Minimum Requirements:

    - NYS Special Education Teacher certification.

     

    - Self-contained special education classroom teaching experience.

     

    - Effective or Highly Effective as determined by the NYSUT rubric.

     

    - Certification in TCI and/or CPI required for intense behavior management programs (6:1+1, 8:1+1).

    Desired Qualifications:

    - Currently employed as a self-contained teacher.

     

    - Certification in TCI and/or CPI.

     

    - Experience in working with students with Multiple Disabilities, students with Autism, and/or students who demonstrate challenging behaviors.

     

    - Experience conducting Functional Behavioral Assessments and implementing and progress monitoring Behavior

     

    Intervention Plans.

     

    - Experience delivering specially designed instruction to students enrolled in a multi-grade classroom.

    Position Summary/Responsibilities:

    MUST BE AVAILABLE TO WORK THE ENTIRE SUMMER SESSION (Tentative dates are July 7th through August 15, 2025)

    * All qualified Special Education Teacher applicants will be contacted to interview for placement in 2025 Extended

     

    School Year classrooms.

     

    SET UP DAY: TBD (Attendance Required)

    8:00 am to 2:00 pm

    (Paid for up to 6 Hours at the Professional rate ($35) per the GTA contract.)

    RATE OF PAY BASED UPON:

    1.0 Position: (32.5 hours per week) 1/200th daily rate of GTA Contractual Annual Salary.

     

    Less than 1.0 Position: (less than 32.5 hours per week) Determined by the number of hours worked per day and paid at

     

    hourly rate based on 1/200th of GTA Contractual Annual Salary.

     

    This extended school year position will be available pending student enrollment.
