    POSITION: Nurse Aide Instructor, Part Time

    Description: The Nurse Aide Instructor is responsible for performing all aspects of instructions for the program.

    Major Duties:

    • Provide instruction in the theory and practical applications of Nurse Aide.

    • Engage learners in the Nurse Aide program using a variety of learning experiences and activities including lecture, lab, clinical, and simulated learning environments.

    • Evaluates students’ progress in attaining goals and objectives.

    • Instructional duties include course design and development of lesson plans, instruction, assessment, and evaluation with efficient maintenance of classroom records, and instruction in the clinical setting.

    • Faculty teaching in the Nurse Aide program will also be expected to attend clinical with students and develop and maintain clinical relationships.

    Competencies:

    • Knowledge of the mission of postsecondary vocational/technical education

    • Knowledge of academic course standards

    • Knowledge of the college’s academic programs

    • Skill to work cooperatively with students, faculty and staff

    • Skill in the preparation and delivery of classroom content

    • Skill to make timely decisions

    • Skill in the operation of computers and job related software programs

    • Decision making and problem solving skills

    • Skill in interpersonal relations and in dealing with the public

    • Oral and written communication skills

    Minimum Qualifications:

    + Diploma in Nursing

    + Georgia Nurse license in good standing

    + Minimum one (1) year long term care nursing experience

    + Train the Trainer Certification
