We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Accounting Manager to join our Finance team and contribute to the financial health of our growing organization.

Position Summary:

The Accounting Manager is responsible for the administrative and general accounting duties of the organization. The Accounting Manager also provides supervision for the day-to-day operations of the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable Department and helps support the Office Leads in plant and retail offices. The Accounting Manager manages between two to four direct and indirect employees and is a key member of the company’s accounting team reporting to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO).

Primary Responsibilities:

•    Supervise and perform all the general accounting and administrative functions of the organization.

•    Oversee the processing of accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash management, and on-line sales and transactions.

•    Oversee the process of applying vendor payments, customer invoicing, balancing accounts receivable systems, and performing research for customers.

•    Reconcile daily cash deposits and payments from banks.

•    Perform all regulatory and administrative tax reporting and filings.

•    Work with Senior Management in providing accounting and administrative support.

•    Respond to customer and vendor inquiries.

•    Participate in the quarterly and yearly closing process and complete account reconciliations.

•    Optimizes internal organization processes and infrastructure that will allow the company to continue to grow and fulfill its long-term goals and mission.

•    Represent the company in a professional manner to all customers, vendors, and internal personnel.

•    Assist in other areas as needed.

Education & Experience:

•    Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance preferred or equivalent work experience.

•    Minimum 3 years of proven successful accounting department leadership and experience managing an accounting department and staff.

•    Experience in consumer products, grocery and /or retail industry preferred; family owned and operated company experience a plus.

•    Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Excel, PowerPoint, Access, etc.), accounting and reporting systems (e.g., QuickBooks and ERP), and other related systems.

•    Ability to pay attention to detail and maintain confidentiality.

•    The ability to proactively manage and prioritize multiple tasks with anticipation and flexibility.

•    Ability to work as part of a team and collaborate effectively.

Minimum Physical Requirements:

•    Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer in an office environment.

•    Must be able to lift to 15 pounds at times.

•    Minimum bending, twisting, pushing and pulling at times.
