Job Description

Summary

Responsible for the continuing engineering and technical support that follows release of requirements, specifications, and drawings for fabrication, assemble, testing, and delivery of an end-product. Works under general supervision. Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action; a certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities** include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

+ Assists in streamlining the process of taking plans for a product from development and into full-scale production.

+ Develops a timetable and plan for production, assess prototypes, and research potential material sources.

+ Makes recommendations for improvements to the product from the perspective of production.

+ Participate in decisions about the purchase of new processes and/or manufacturing equipment, and in training for workers to ensure a quality product.

+ Provide technical and customer support following the release of product specifications and requirements.

+ Daily availability to include evenings and weekends when necessary to reach goals and deadlines.

Education and/or Experience

Bachelor's degree (B.S.) from four-year college or university in a related field and 2-5 years of directly related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Other Skills and Abilities

+ Basic Knowledge of ISO and/or AS9100

+ Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing/6 Sigma/Kaizen

+ Knowledge of specific software (design, analysis, ERP…)
