Job Summary

As a Catering Experience Manager, you will be at the forefront of delivering premier catering services at Mercersburg Academy. This outstanding opportunity allows you to be part of a dynamic team, where you will efficiently implement and coordinate all aspects of our catering operations. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring that every event is driven detailed, from start to finish.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

+ Supervises all catering events, ensuring they run smoothly and efficiently.

+ Coordinates catering logistics, quality improvement initiatives, and cleanliness protocols.

+ Collaborates with the Chef to build outstanding menus that delight clients.

+ Provides training to catering associates on service techniques, menu presentation, and customer service.

+ Monitors and tracks labor and food costs to ensure budgetary compliance.

+ Maintains outstanding client relationships through effective communication and extraordinary service.

+ Assists with all foodservice-related activities to ensure the highest quality standards.

+ Performs other duties as assigned to support the catering team.

Qualifications:

+ Minimum of 2 years of food service experience, including 1 year in a management role.

+ Confirmed experience in catering is crucial.

+ Familiarity with food and catering trends, focusing on quality, production, sanitation, and cost control.

+ Strong financial, budgetary, and accounting skills.

+ Proficient in MS Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

+ ServSafe Certification required.
