    Core Job Responsibilities

    + Position Highlights

    + Must be BC/BE with NYS License

    + EPIC EMR

    + Endoscopic Vein and Artery Harvesting

    + OR first and second assisting

    + Some outpatient clinic responsibility

    + History and physical exams

    + Rounding on floor and ICU patients

    + census management

    + Weeknight/weekend call coverage (floor calls and emergency surgical procedures)

    + Inpatient consults

    + Bedside procedures (thoracentesis, central/arterial line placement, chest tube insertion/removal, etc.)

    + Supportive and congenial working environment

    + Newest Hospital in NY State

     

    Education/Experience Requirements

    Minimum Qualifications

    + Licensed or eligible to practice in the state of New York

    + 3-5+ years of Cardiac experience.

    + BLS certification required.

    + Experience required in Endoscopic Vein and Artery Harvesting for the full scope opportunity.

    + Be a graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program

    + NCCPA certification

     

    Licensure/Certification Requirements

    REQUIRED:

    + Current NYS Nurse Practitioner licenses OR Current NYS license as a Physician Assistant with prescription privileges.

    + Current BCLS, ACLS certifications.

    PREFERRED:

    + Active ANCC certification in relevant specialty
