    Key Responsibilities and Expectations

    Qualifications

    This position requires a strong background in neurology/stroke, interventional radiology, or neurosurgery, along with excellent clinical and critical-thinking skills; new graduates interested will be strongly considered

     

    The ideal candidate will preferably have at least two years of experience, neurology, neurosurgery, or stroke-related experience and should be able to thrive in a fast-paced and challenging environment, delivering high-quality care to patients

     

    Master's degree in Nursing or a relevant field from an accredited program

     

    Current, unrestricted Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) license and certification

     

    Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in neurology, interventional radiology, or neurosurgery

     

    Strong knowledge or interest in neurovascular diseases, interventions, and procedures

     

    Exceptional clinical and critical-thinking skills

     

    Effective communication and interpersonal abilities for collaborating with the healthcare team and educating patients

     

    Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment

     

    Proficiency in utilizing electronic medical record systems and other healthcare technology

     

    Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying abreast of advancements in neurointerventional care

     

    Salary Range: $138,200 - $161,200 annually

    Responsibilities

    As an APP, you will play a crucial role in the comprehensive care of patients with neurovascular conditions, working closely with the neurointerventional and stroke team

    Patient Assessment and Diagnosis:

    Conduct thorough neurovascular assessments, including history taking, physical examinations, and interpretation of diagnostic tests

     

    Formulate accurate diagnoses and develop appropriate treatment plans for patients with neurovascular conditions, such as strokes, aneurysms, arteriovenous malformations (AVMs), and vascular stenosis

     

    Perform outpatient clinic visits on new, existing, and post-procedure patients to coordinate their care in coordination with an Attending physician.

    Treatment Planning and Implementation:

    Collaborate with the neurointerventional team to develop individualized treatment plans based on clinical findings, imaging results, and patient preferences

    Patient Management and Follow-Up:

    Monitor and manage patients' post-procedure, assessing their response to treatment, identifying complications, and initiating appropriate interventions

     

    Evaluate and manage potential neurological complications, such as vasospasms, hemorrhages, and infections

     

    Provide patient education on post-procedure care, medications, lifestyle modifications, and follow-up requirements

     

    Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, interventional radiologists, neurosurgeons, anesthesiologists, and critical care nurses, to ensure comprehensive patient care

     

    Participate actively in multidisciplinary conferences and contribute to treatment planning discussions

     

    Provide consultation and guidance to nursing staff, residents, and other healthcare professionals regarding neurovascular care

     

    Participate in research initiatives and quality improvement projects to advance neurointerventional care and enhance patient outcomes

     

    Collect and analyze data, participate in data-driven discussions, and contribute to academic publications and presentations
