    Program Overview

    The SpecialtyRx Pharmacy Internship Program offers foreign pharmacy graduates, pharmacy students, and recent graduates an opportunity to gain practical experience in a structured and supportive environment. Our program is aligned with New Jersey Board of Pharmacy requirements and allows candidates to complete their 1,500 internship hours under the supervision of licensed pharmacists.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Assist in medication dispensing, preparation, and inventory management under the guidance of licensed pharmacists.

    + Gain exposure to long-term care pharmacy operations, regulatory compliance, and controlled substance management.

    + Work with pharmacists and healthcare professionals to review medication orders, ensure accuracy, and provide patient-centered care.

    + Learn about pharmacy law and ethics, including NJ Board of Pharmacy regulations, HIPAA compliance, and insurance processing.

    + Participate in quality assurance initiatives and medication therapy management programs.

    + Understand pharmacy informatics, electronic health records, and prescription management systems.

    Eligibility Requirements

    + Current pharmacy students, recent graduates, or foreign-trained pharmacists seeking internship hours for licensure.

    + Ability to commit to the program duration, typically 2–3 months or longer, depending on individual internship requirements.

    + Must have or be eligible for New Jersey pharmacy intern registration.

    + Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn in a fast-paced pharmacy environment
