    **Position Summary** : Performs radiographic procedures at a technical level requiring sound understanding of anatomical positioning and physiology; a high degree of technical competency and with the ability to act with initiative and ingenuity with minimal supervision. Apply ionizing radiation for radiologic diagnosis in adult and/or pediatric radiology.

    Duties:

    + Provide excellent patient care by educating and preparing patients for their procedure while utilizing effective communication.

    + Ensure patient comfort and safety for the duration of their procedure.

    + Obtain and document accurate patient medical history to assist radiologist’s interpretation.

    + Position and instruct patient while utilizing protective shielding, immobilization, and supportive devices as required.

    + Perform standard diagnostic radiographic procedures as required by physician’s order.

    + Perform a variety of diagnostic procedures to include but not limited to fluoroscopy, C-arm in the Operating Room, digital and mobile imaging at applicable locations.

    + Select proper exposure factors of radiographic equipment for each examination.

    + Completion of exam in hospital information system.

    + Cleaning and maintaining all imaging equipment.

    + May also assist with mentoring and/or training students, new hires.
