Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY:

We are seeking a **Business Intelligence Developer** with strong expertise in **Power BI, PowerOn, DAX, SQL, and SSAS data cubes** to join our dynamic retail analytics team. In this role, you will design and develop interactive dashboards, optimize data models, and create efficient reporting solutions that drive strategic decision-making. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into actionable insights, ensuring data integrity and performance.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

+ Design, develop, and maintain robust data cubes, semantic models, and data marts to support reporting and analysis.

+ Develop and optimize complex DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) calculations for advanced analytics and data modeling.

+ Work extensively with SQL to extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from multiple sources

+ Optimize data models for performance and scalability.

+ Create intuitive and visually appealing Power BI dashboards and reports.

+ Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and security within Power BI reports.

+ Implement write-back capabilities to data cubes and SQL tables using tools like PowerOn.

+ Develop custom visualizations and calculations to provide actionable insights.

+ Conduct in-depth data analysis using SQL, R, and Python.

+ Identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in data.

+ Understand database architecture concepts, including normalization, indexing, and query optimization.

+ Collaborate with database administrators to ensure optimal database performance.

+ Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices.

+ Additional duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

+ 3+Years experience in Business Intelligence development

+ Expertise in Power BI, including developing reports, dashboards, and data models.

+ Strong understanding of Data Analysis Expressions (DAX) for advances calculations and data manipulation.

+ Strong proficiency in SQL writing complex queries, stored procedures, and optimizing performance.

+ Experience working with data cubes, including SSAS or other OLAP technologies.

+ Hands on experience with PowerOn for Power BI extensions and enhanced reporting

+ Proven experience in data warehousing, ETL processes, and data modeling.

+ Understanding of database architecture and optimization techniques.

+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret business needs into technical solutions.

+ Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.

+ Knowledge of cloud-based data platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, GCP).

+ Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
