    Summary:

    Serves as an SRO pool team member completing 13-week assignments with our hospital Cardiovascular and Interventional Services Team, who assist in the performance of diagnostic and invasive procedures. Independently functions during diagnostic and interventions with minimal supervision.

     

    **Position Description:** SRO System Pool Cardiac Cath Lab Tech-assignment St Joseph's North Hospital

     

    The Cardiovascular Interventional Tech serves as a member of the Cardiovascular and Interventional Services Team assisting in the performance of diagnostic and invasive procedures. Independently functions during diagnostic and interventions with minimal supervision.

     

    + Scrubbing in for Procedures (Cardiac Caths and Pacemaker Implants)

    + Using Hemodynamic System to Monitor Patient and Document Procedure

    + On Call for Emergent Procedures

    Minimum Qualifications (May qualify 1 of 5 ways):

    **1)** Technical or Associates in Radiology + ARRT (Radiologic Technologist) + 1 year experience in Cath Lab, Interventional Radiology or Electrophysiology OR

    **2)** Associates in Respiratory+ RRT (Respiratory Therapy), Active NBRC Credential for RRT + 1 year experience in Cath Lab, Interventional Radiology or Electrophysiology OR

    **3)** Graduate of Cardiovascular Technology (CVT) Program/Degree and No Experience OR

    **4)** 3 years of Cath Lab, Interventional Radiology or Electrophysiology in lieu of education OR

    **5)** RCIS and/or RCES and 2 years of experience in Cath Lab, Interventional Radiology or Electrophysiology in lieu of education

    **Required:** Active BLS & ACLS certification (accepted from American Heart Association)

    Shift Hours:** **7:30AM - 4:00 PM (shift end times sometimes goes until 7pm)

     

    Weekend Work:** **Occasional

     

    STEMI On Call:** **Yes (must be within 30 minutes of hospital)
