The Division of Hospitalist & General Internal Medicine at the University of Maryland School of Medicine is recruiting full-time hospitalists for non-tenure track faculty positions at our*University of Maryland Medical Center Downtown and Midtown*campuses. These positions will provide attending hospitalist responsibilities on our Direct Care Hospitalist Services at both campuses, though they will be primarily based at one of the two campuses. This hospitalist staffing model aligns with the faculty staffing model of the University of Maryland School of Medicine, in which faculty's clinical responsibilities typically span both campuses. Clinical responsibilities include participation in our faculty group practice with more than 30 other hospitalists, medical student teaching, and supervision of residents on inpatient services.These positions will provide coverage including, but not limited to, medical transplant patients, general internal medicine patients on teaching and direct care services, medical consultations, transplant medicine consultations, and co-management of surgical services. There are also opportunities for candidates with a desire to work as a nocturnist, providing overnight coverage on these services, with appropriate salary differential applied. Expected faculty rank is Assistant Professor, however, rank, tenure status and salary will be dependent upon selected candidate’s qualifications and experience.* *** Expected salary range for Assistant Professors is $131,500 (min) and $286,420 (max). The referenced salary range reflects base pay, which is based on faculty rank and years in rank. This salary range does not include all components of the departmental faculty compensation program or pay from participation in departmental variable compensation programs. Therefore, the actual compensation paid to the selected candidate may vary from the salary range stated herein. For more information, please contact the hiring department. The referenced salary range represents the minimum and maximum salaries for this position and is based on the University of Maryland School of Medicine’s good faith belief at the time of posting. Not all candidates will be eligible for the upper end of the salary range. The actual compensation offered to the selected candidate may vary and will ultimately depend on multiple factors, which may include the successful candidate's geographic location, skills, work experience, internal equity, market conditions, education/training and other factors, as reasonably determined by the University.
