• Senior Tax Analyst

    Waste Connections (The Woodlands, TX)


    Waste Connections has an immediate opening for a highly motivated, organized, results-oriented Senior Tax Analyst in The Woodlands, Texas. This professional self-starter will join the Tax team and participate in the full cycle of direct tax from quarterly tax provisions and estimated tax payments to income tax return filings.

    Primary Responsibilities

    + Review of quarterly federal and state estimated tax liabilities

    + Preparation and review of annual federal and state tax return extension requests

    + Preparation of adjustments for quarterly financial reporting

    + Preparation of federal, state, and local income tax returns

    + Research and respond to IRS and State Revenue Agency notices

    + Keep informed of tax laws, regulations, and rulings

    Qualifications

    + Bachelor’s degree in Accounting

    + At least 2 years of tax compliance preparation experience

    + CPA is preferred

    + Excellent verbal and written communication skills

    + Strong computer skills in MS Office and OneSource tax software experience
