• Psychologist I - Western Wellness

    UPMC (Wexford, PA)


    UPMC Western Wellness is seeking a Licensed Psychologist for our professional practice in Wexford. We are looking to grow the presence of psychology within UPMC. The position requires an independent psychologist who will provide direct, individual therapy to adults, children, and/or families. Treatment is typically short-term, goal-focused care. This role will work regular day time hours with one evening per week. On call hours are not required. After training and established practice, some remote and flexibility in hours are available.

    Sign-On Bonus Details:

    $5,000 for a 1-year contract

     

    $7,000 for a 2-year contract

    Responsibilities:

    • Evaluates and treats patients with neurodevelopmental, behavioral, and mental health concerns.

    • Conducts diagnostic interviews and assessments, performs necessary testing, and provides feedback and recommendations.

    • May serve as a sub-specialist or provide specialty services for other programs.

    • Coordinates with care teams to plan behavioral health treatment across different levels of care.

    • Provides crisis sessions and behavioral health services using validated treatments.

    • Participates in supervisory meetings to ensure program standards.

    • Maintains accurate records and demonstrates expertise in psychiatric diagnosis.

    • Collaborates with multidisciplinary teams for patient care and treatment planning.

    • Stays updated on relevant literature and performs psychological assessments.

    • Ensures productivity standards by scheduling sufficient patient volume.

    • Works with other service lines and agencies to ensure continuity of care.

     

    Doctoral degree in Psychology (PsyD or PhD) from an accredited institution.

     

    1 years of experience in Psychology or related field preferred.

     

    Excellent clinical interviewing and assessment/therapy skills to work with patients and families.

     

    Strong interpersonal skills.

    Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:

    Active PA Psychology License

    + Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)

    + Comprehensive Crisis Management (CCMC)

    + Psychologist

    + Act 31 Child Abuse Reporting with renewal

    + Act 33 with renewal

    + Act 34 with renewal

    + Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal
