Fall 2025 Engineering Co-Op (Power and Actuation Systems)

Are you a passionate engineering student looking for hands-on experience in aerospace design and manufacturing? Our Fall 2025 Engineering Co-Op program offers an exciting opportunity to work alongside industry experts, gain real-world skills, and contribute to innovative projects in Power and Actuation Systems Business Unit at Marotta Controls.

Fall 2025 Co-Ops opportunities are available in our Mechanical and Electrical Design Team. Accepting applications until March 28, 2025.

What You’ll Do:

+ Assist in designing and analyzing aerospace & Defense control components.

+ Support the creation of assembly procedures, test reports, and technical documents.

+ Research suppliers and special process vendors.

+ Help design and validate fixtures for assembly and test operations.

+ Conduct tolerance stack-ups, feasibility studies, and compliance reviews for engineering drawings.

+ Participate in design reviews and present findings.

+ Perform basic engineering calculations (trigonometry, geometry, etc.) as needed.

+ Work onsite and full-time throughout the Fall 2025 semester.

What We’re Looking For:

+ Strong mechanical aptitude and interest in aerospace design.

+ Proficiency in 3D CAD software (Pro-E preferred).

+ Excellent academic performance, particularly in core engineering courses.

+ High attention to detail, organizational skills, and problem-solving ability.

+ Ability to manage multiple tasks and work collaboratively in a team environment.

+ Must be a U.S. Citizen (due to security clearance requirements).

+ Must be enrolled in a bachelor's or graduate degree program in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, or Materials Engineering (or equivalent field).

Work Environment:

+ Hybrid work setting between a professional office and a manufacturing/machine shop environment.

+ Use of standard office equipment (computers, phones, printers, etc.) and protective gear as required.

Physical Requirements:

+ Ability to see, talk, and hear while performing job duties.

+ Frequent use of hands and arms for handling equipment.

+ Ability to sit, stand, walk, and move around the facility as needed.

+ Ability to lift/move up to 20 lbs occasionally.

These positions will be located at either our Parsippany, NJ office locations.
