    Job Summary and Qualifications

     

    What you will do in this role:

    + **?Serves as the liaison between patients and departmental physicians and other members of the support team.**

    + **?Obtains patient histories and screens patients for factors/conditions that may affect the imaging procedure.**

    + **?Transports patients to and from the procedure area.**

    + **?Assists in preparing and positioning patients for procedures. Performs patient verification prior to procedure.**

    + **?Remains sensitive to the physical and emotional needs of the patient through good communication, patient assessment, patient monitoring, and patient care skills. Provides basic patient care and comfort.**

    + **?Notifies Radiologic Technologist of any emergencies or concerns.**

    + **?Assists in imaging room setup and turnover between patients, ensuring a safe and clean environment.**

    + **?Assists with the maintenance and organization of radiology supplies.**

    + **?Performs clerical work as needed, including greeting patients and families, registration, filing, answering and transferring phones, and relaying messages.**

    + **?Maintains confidentiality of all patient care information to assure that patient’s rights are protected.**

    + **?Demonstrates an understanding of human anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.**

    + **?Adheres to all facility safety practices.**

    + **?Participates in educational opportunities to develop optimal patient care, enhanced knowledge, and technical competence.**

    + **??Performs other duties as assigned. ?**

    + **??Practices and adheres to the “Code of Conduct” and “Mission and Value Statement.”?**

    What qualifications you will need:

    + **?Must be currently enrolled and in good standing in an accredited school of Radiography.**

    + **1+ years of imaging education completed, or as mandated by state of practice.**

    + **BLS required within 30 days of start date.**
