We are seeking a Credentialed Veterinary Technician/LVT to join our team. The successful candidate must have sustained expertise and skills as a Credentialed Veterinary Technician/LVT. In this position you will be supporting our Doctors and instructing Veterinary Assistants by delivering high quality veterinary medicine, patient care, and creating a positive low-stress atmosphere for our clients and patients.

Duties will include but are not limited to:

• Obtaining patient histories

• Perform cursory examinations

• Assessments

• Maintaining medical records

• Nursing Care

• Understanding the principles of aseptic, surgical packs/instruments, and maintaining sterile conditions

• Preparing surgical suite and surgical patients

• Knowledge of emergency drugs and use

• Familiarity of anesthesia equipment and operation

• Anesthesia monitoring and awareness of anesthesia emergencies

• Excellent communication skills a must

• Obtaining vitals - temperature, pulse, respirations

• Filling prescriptions

• Performing laboratory work and diagnostic imaging

• Drawing blood samples

• Client communication

• Providing compassionate care, a home away from home for boarded and hospitalized pets

• Work with different species, breeds, and temperament of animals

• Sustained knowledge of veterinary medical terms and vaccine protocols
