We're looking for a Project Piping Lead in Cary, NC who is excited about working on projects that enable the heart of our clients’ business. Join us and you’ll have the chance to work on projects including state of the art industrial, pharmaceutical and commercial facilities. The Piping Project Lead will be responsible for leading a group of Piping Designers and Piping Engineers on an assigned project. You will be accountable for establishing piping scope based on client requirements, estimating engineering and design effort-hours, developing the project discipline schedule and staffing plans, client interactions, and the technical quality and approval of piping deliverables. Additionally, you will perform scope change management and ensure adherence to applicable codes-standards-procedures. You will have opportunity to utilize your technical expertise mentoring other professionals, helping your team discover what drives them, nurturing their purpose and guiding them forward.

• 10+ years in Piping Design or Piping Engineering
• 2+ years executing a Project Piping Lead role
• Availability to work 2-days weekly in the Cary, NC office or applicable client site
• Working knowledge of piping design in a 3D modeling software such as Revit or AutoCad Plant 3D.
• Ability to collaborate and work effectively in a variety of teams, including multi-disciplinary teams
• Understanding of effective Equipment Arrangement, Pipe Stress, Pipe Design, Pipe Supports, and Piping specifications
• Functional knowledge of ASME B31.3 guidelines and requirements
Ideally, you’ll also have:
• Associates Degree or higher in a Design or Engineering study or equivalent years if experience in lieu of degree
• Experience using Laser Scanning technology as a design assistance tool
• Experience on a Pharmaceutical, Life Science, Biotech facility, Specialty Chemical, or Chemical projects
• Retrofit project and significant field / site experience
• Past success in executing projects and collaborating with multi-office (global) execution
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Forward thinking, eager to learn best practices, and contribute with innovative ideas
• Displayed ability to learn quickly and driven to broaden knowledge base
