Your Role

The Area Sea Logistics Less than Container Load Manager is responsible for driving growth and profitability of the Less than Container Load product in the United States Southeast region. Your role ensures exceptional customer service, operational efficiency, and financial performance by leading a high-performing team and collaborating with sales, branch management, and operational teams. With a strategic focus on market expansion and seamless execution, the manager plays a vital role in strengthening the company's competitive position in the industry.

Your Responsibilities

+ Provide leadership and monitor the performance of the local Customer Care team and Sea Logistics Field Sales team in collaboration with Branch Management.

+ Partner with Sea Logistics operations and the Less than Container Load Gateway team to enhance the customer experience.

+ Manage the financial performance of the Less than Container Load product, including profitability and cost optimization.

+ Maintain relationships with key Non-Vessel Operating Common Carriers and Container Freight Station contacts to support business objectives.

+ Collaborate with Sales, Customer Care, and Pricing teams to provide competitive pricing and drive new business opportunities.

+ Support process improvement initiatives, monitor performance, and address escalations in accordance with company guidelines.

+ Stay informed about market trends and provide regular updates to the team.

+ Participate in customer visits, quarterly business reviews, and proposal preparation to support business development.

+ Manage reporting, track sales pipelines, and publish monthly performance updates.

+ Work with leadership to develop and implement strategies for business growth, customer retention, and market share expansion.

Your Skills and Experiences

+ Minimum of five years of experience in Less than Container Load freight forwarding with a strong understanding of the sea freight industry, business development, and trade lanes.

+ Experience in leadership roles within an international corporate environment, with the ability to translate strategy into business development roadmaps and deploy resources effectively.

+ Strong business development, decision-making, and financial acumen, with an entrepreneurial mindset focused on cost efficiency and value creation.

+ Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to build strong relationships internally and externally in a diverse, cross-cultural environment.

+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant digital tools, with a willingness to travel as needed.
