Summary:

The Operating Room Charge RN responsibilities include:

+ Proficient in the care of a sub-specialty group of patients utilizing effective managerial skills

+ Acts as a professional role model for other members of the nursing team

+ Is responsible for professional accountability and development according to best practice standards set forth by a nationally recognized specialty organization

+ Acts as a mentor and resource expert, supports and shares organizational information to all team members

+ Performs the role of preceptor and charge nurse when assigned

For this position, we strongly prefer at least 2 years Operating Room experience as an RN. Charge experience is preferred. Board running experience is preferred. This position is a Weekends Front Desk Charge position, working each Saturday, Sunday and a third 12-hour shift. This position is eligible for the Weekend incentive.

Education:

+ Bachelor's Nursing or Bachelor's Science in related field or Associate's Nursing and RN Certification in related field

**Experience** :

+ Required includes 2 years acute care experience or 2 years Interventional/Procedural

+ Preferred Experience includes 1 year Interventional/Perioperative Internship.
