CRA Testing Analyst The CRA Testing Analyst is responsible for providing guidance and direction with respect to compliance with laws and regulations with direction and/or input from management. This includes ongoing guidance as well as assisting with the managing of implementation processes. This position will also assist in detecting, assessing, and responding to emerging risks. The CRA Testing Analyst role is responsible for administering data integrity testing within the first line of defense of defense to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements of the Community Reinvestment Act (CRA), Home Mortgage Disclosure Act (HMDA) and Dodd Frank 1071. Independently manage assigned testing engagements, which includes execution, issue vetting, drafting final reports, creating test scripts and reporting. This position will also assist with conducting peer reviews, answering credible challenge questions, and conducting exit meets. Position Responsibilities: Testing * Perform data integrity testing for Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) Home Mortgage Act (HMDA), and Dodd Frank 1071. * Independently manage assigned testing engagements which includes performing walkthroughs, creating test scripts, execution, issue vetting, drafting final reports, and reporting. Conduct exit meetings in collaboration with the CRA Testing Lead. * Lead complex testing engagements and provide guidance to other team members supporting the engagement. * Work independently and establish strong relationships with business partners, legal, compliance, and other key stakeholders. * Assist CRA Testing Specialist III with peer reviews, validations, draft report editing, exit meetings and credible challenge questions. * Support the CRA Testing Specialist III and CRA Testing Manager by ensuring testing work papers, supporting documentation, and work programs are complete and accurate prior to uploading to Credible Challenge. Regulatory Compliance * In collaboration with the CRA Testing Specialist III, makes recommendations as a resource and subject matter expert to other departments for projects, task forces and regulatory implementation. * Develop a solid understanding of revised CRA regulation and the new Dodd Frank 1071 regulation. Possess and maintain in-depth knowledge of CRA, HMDA, and Dodd Frank 1071 regulations. * Interpret and makes recommendations of new or revised regulatory requirements in support of Compliance Management System (CMS) requirements. * Work collaboratively with the Line of Business and Compliance to understand current practices. * Make recommendations and collaborates to execute any required changes in support of CMS requirements. * Review/update procedures, work instructions, and job aides regularly and also annually to meet department objectives and requirements. Assist CRA Testing Specialist III with reviewing procedures to ensure any regulatory changes are included as required. Analytics * Analyzes, researches, and executes the preparation of deliverables as assigned related to federal and state regulatory exams, internal audits and projects, external audits, and enterprise-level controls. This includes the annual CRA/HMDA Technical Exam from the Federal Reserve Board and the CRA Performance Evaluation Exam. Escalates any potential non-compliance to the CRA Testing Lead and CRA Testing Manager. * Analyzes and interprets regulatory compliance requirements in collaboration with the Line of Business and Compliance. * Perform analysis in managing risks in existing operations resulting from industry lawsuits, settlements, etc. associated with regulatory violations. * Executes periodic self-testing to determine whether policies and procedures are being followed. Reviews department procedures to ensure any regulatory changes impacting testing are accurately captured and updated accordingly. Reporting/Project Management * Participate in meetings and address questions regarding regulatory requirements in specific fact-based scenarios. * Collaborate with the Line of Business and Compliance. * Collaborate with senior management for compliance reporting. Training * Develop and review role-based training materials and training tools as needed. * In partnership with the Line of Business and Compliance make recommendations and review customer facing documents.
