    About this Role

     

    Position: Sr. Civil Designer – Baton Rouge, LA & Channelview, TX (Experience: 10 years)

     

    What You'll Do

    Responsibilities:

    + Create grading (existing and finish grade) surfaces in AutoCAD Civil 3D.

    + Work with survey information to create site and property boundaries, and 3D existing grade surfaces.

    + Use Civil 3D grading cut/fill calculation tools.

    + Follow project specific drafting standards and set up drawings using AutoCAD model and paper space.

    + Export 3D grade models for use by other designers and Navisworks.

    + Create 2D drawings concrete foundation construction drawings with rebar details from Engineer’s sketch or verbal instructions.

    + Have a full working knowledge of using xrefs in AutoCAD.

    + Take personal responsibility for the quality and accuracy of his/her work and work with project team to execute projects on time and on budget.

    + Have good habits of checking all dimensions, text and designs against vendor drawings, surveys and general design requirements.

    + Preference: Structural modeling using CADWorx.

     

    What You'll Bring

    Qualifications:

    + Minimum 10 plus years of experience creating grade surface models and plans and details using AutoCAD Civil 3D.

    + Experience creating 3D grade surface for use in Navisworks models.

    + A plus: Experience using CADWorx structural software.

    + Ability to create civil construction plans and details.

    + Ability to work within a team environment.

    + A positive attitude and an exemplary work ethic.
