Terracon Consultants, a nationwide engineering consulting firm, is seeking an Environmental Technician to join our team in Raleigh, North Carolina. This position would be part of a very skilled team that performs airborne chemical monitoring, indoor air quality surveys, asbestos and lead-based paint surveys, and other activities. **Role Overview:** The Environmental Technician will perform routine occupational health and industrial hygiene tasks, including calibration of field monitoring equipment, sampling suspect asbestos-containing building materials according to AHERA guidelines, performing oversight and monitoring during asbestos abatement projects, following safety rules, guidelines, and standards for all projects, and be responsible for maintaining quality standards on all projects. This role reports to an Industrial Hygiene Project Manager within Terracon.

Job Description:

This position will be primarily based in Raleigh, NC, and support projects throughout North Carolina and the Southeast, as needed.

Knowledge of asbestos inspections, asbestos management planning, operations and maintenance plans development, abatement oversight, and air monitoring, are required.

Minimum Requirements:

+ 4-6 years of relevant experience.

+ High School diploma or equivalent.

+ Valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history.

+ Certification in a field of expertise required. Examples are Asbestos Inspector, Asbestos Project Monitor, Lead Inspector, Mold Technician.
