SAIC has an immediate and funded position on a very exciting and mission focused program! We are looking for an Engineer to serve as a government representative for power and cooling of small (<50kW) IT systems. In this role you will handle all aspects of power and cooling for the entire life cycle, from concept development, through design, training, installation, maintenance, and to system removal. The power and cooling solutions deployed are a mix of industry-standard and novel system type, and you will work within a team of other power and cooling personnel with a variety of related backgrounds. You will also work closely with outside vendors and developers for the various systems.

Qualifications

+ Must currently hold a TS/SCI and Poly clearance

+ Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, although experience can be substituted for the degree

+ Minimum of 7 years working in a related engineering field

+ 14 years of relevant experience

+ Familiarity with both facility power and cooling systems

+ Basic project management experience

+ Design or design management experience

+ Understanding of IT system power and cooling requirements

+ The ability to work in a multi-discipline team

+ Ability to travel up to 25% of the time

Desired Qualifications:

+ Experience working as a facility design engineer

+ Experience with HVAC or Power system construction

+ Experience with facility management and O&M

+ Familiarity with overseas shipping

+ Experience with both USG and non-USG facility construction
