Role Objective:

We are seeking to expand our Criminal Defense practice group to North Carolina. The Criminal Defense Attorney will help our firm establish a presence in this market while working independently on cases and focusing on achieving the best possible result for each and every client.  In return, you will receive the full support and infrastructure of a leading law firm, including but not limited to an outstanding marketing powerhouse.  Join a top-notch team with the resources and support to take your practice to the next level!

Responsibilities and Duties:

+ Handle cases independently from inception through resolution, including felony jury trials.

+ Timely and professional client communication.

+ Develop legal strategy and provide clear counsel to clients.

+ Develop cases to win.

+ Perform legal research and writing.

+ Make regular court appearances.

+ Collaborate with team members.

Qualifications and Skills:

+ Minimum of 5 years’ experience focused on criminal defense cases.

+ Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

+ Must be barred and in good standing in the State of North Carolina.

+ Ability to handle a full caseload independently.

+ Knowledge of court rules and procedures.

+ Excellent negotiation and communication skills.

+ Ability to promote yourself as an attorney to clients.

+ Excellent organizational and time management skills.

+ Am entrepreneurial spirit and drive to help out firm establish itself in a new market.
