Position Details- Cytotechnologist

+ **Location:** South Florida Baptist Hospital - Plant City, FL

+ **Facility:** BayCare Health System, Cytology Services

+ **Status:** Full Time, Non Exempt

+ **Shift:** 7:30am - 4:00pm (May Vary)

+ Occasional weekends required

+ **On Call:** No

The Cytotechnologist Responsibilities:

+ Evaluates and diagnosis Non-GYN cases for Pathologist review

+ Evaluates and diagnosis GYN cases.

+ Performs Rapid On-Site Evaluations for FNA procedures including CT-Guided and US-Guided procedures.

+ Knowledge of multiple Cytology Reporting Systems.

+ Excellent inter- and intra-departmental communications skills.

+ Maintains equipment, supplies, and instrumentation.

+ Ability to assist in the Cytopreparatory lab, as needed.

+ Works independently and in a team.

+ Demonstrate organizational, time management, interpersonal, written, and verbal skills.

+ Use computer skills appropriate to position.

+ Needs to understand medical terminology.

Requirements:

+ ASCP Certified Technologist in Cytology

+ State of Florida License Clinical Laboratory Personnel - Cytotechnologist

+ Bachelor's in related field

+ Bachelor's requirement can be waived if certified prior to 1985

+ Preferred - 2 years Cytology experience.

+ Hospital experience not required, training available
