    SUMMARY

    Responsible for system admin, maintenance and upgrades in Radiology IT systems. Responsibilities include assisting with supporting Radiology application systems, completing assigned tasks, and monitoring the overall PACS Health scores. Collaborates closely with our Epic Radiant team on integration and end-user support. Works closely with all Radiology IT vendors on system issues, upgrades, and provides escalation if required.

    SPECIFIC DUTIES

    • Coordinates system-related tasks including upgrades, system audits, patches, managing new hardware and software installations, backup and restore functions, documentation of disaster recovery, and system maintenance.

    • Monitors the PACS Health dashboard to ensure all PACS issues are being supported to maintain our PACS Health score.

    • Provides daily support for hardware servers and software issues with the Dictation and Voice Recognition System. Also, provides programming support to the Radiologist for the voice recognition software.

    • Responsible for all offsite radiology integration, network, connectivity, and VPN support for multiple locations for all Radiology hardware and software.

    • Provides project management support for Radiology IT projects. This includes upgrades, updates, and support systems for all clinical areas.

    • Supports Radiology IT systems upgrades and installation of new equipment, which includes ongoing service support.

    • Maintains working relationships with Radiology leadership and staff to coordinate operational aspects of computer system locations and accessibility.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Associate or bachelor’s degree in computer science/technical degree required, significant work experience may substitute for formal training.

    • A technical background accompanied by experience with computers, databases, networking, system administration, and system troubleshooting

    • One to two years of experience with Radiology IT or similar IT computer systems.

    • Good communication skills with the ability to work effectively with all levels of staff including physicians, technical staff, health care staff, and vendors.
