We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable part-time Computer Information Systems Adjunct Instructor to join our dynamic faculty team at Atlanta Technical College. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in one or more of the following pathways – cybersecurity, database management, programming, and a passion for teaching and mentoring students. This role involves delivering engaging and practical coursework that prepares students for successful careers in the rapidly evolving field of information technology. Key Responsibilities
• Develop and deliver engaging, hands-on coursework in Computer Information Systems.
• Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment for all students.
• Assess and evaluate student performance, providing constructive feedback.
• Stay current with industry trends and integrate relevant technologies and practices into the curriculum.
• Collaborate with faculty and staff to enhance the educational experience and support student success.
Minimum Qualifications
Education: Master’s degree in Computer Information Technology, or a related technology field.
Experience: Minimum of 3 years of relevant industry experience and/or teaching experience in a higher education setting.
Skills: Strong knowledge of networking, cybersecurity, database management, and/or programming through education and/or work experience. Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Certifications: At least one industry certification (ex. CISCO, CompTIA, ORACLE, AWS, CNA, CCNP, etc.) is highly preferred.
Experience with online and hybrid teaching formats, curriculum development, and instructional design.
