    About You

     

    We’re seeking a result-focused, innovative, self-driven, and well-qualified individual to join our talented team as our Temporary Legal Assistant. Based out of our Torrington Connecticut location, you will provide essential support to the legal department by assisting with research, document preparation, contract administration, and compliance tracking. Also, by executing structured legal support tasks while ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and adherence to established processes

    In addition, you will:

    + Support legal research and documentation by conducting basic legal research and compiling summaries on relevant laws, regulations, and policies. Also, under the guidance of the Legal Ops Mgr, assisting in drafting memoranda, internal reports, and legal correspondence

    + Assist in contract administration by reviewing and organizing contractual documents, including vendor and customer agreements. Also, by maintaining template consistency and ensuring proper documentation in the contract management system

    + Maintain document and filing systems by filing legal documents in electronic systems. Also, by assisting in restructuring electronic legal filing systems for improved accessibility

    + Coordinate compliance tracking and policy updates by monitoring changes in regulations, supporting policy review processes, and updating legal records to ensure adherence to company standards

    + Provide litigation and discovery support by gathering case-related information, organizing discovery documents, and assisting with responses under legal team supervision

    + Assist in developing legal training materials by compiling relevant information, formatting presentations, and supporting the legal team in employee training sessions

    + Generate reports and track legal data by compiling case logs, tracking key legal deadlines, and maintaining departmental records to support decision-making

    + Participate in legal meetings and client interactions by preparing materials, documenting discussions, and ensuring follow-up actions are completed accurately and on time

    Requirements

    You should have:

    + Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in legal studies or a related field

    + 1+ years of experience in a legal support role within a corporate legal department or law firm

    + Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality

    + Strong written and verbal communication skills

    + Ability to work within structured processes and meet deadlines consistently

     

    This is a Temporary 6-month assignment.

     

    Benefits

     

    Salary Range: $30-$39 per hour

     

    Our company takes the compensation of its employees very seriously and considers several factors when determining the total compensation package including but not limited to location, market range, skills, knowledge, experience, and abilities. The base salary range represents the low and high end of our company's salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range. The range listed is just one component of our company's total compensation packages for employees.
