    TECHNICAL ASSOCIATE I – SCHULZ LAB, Brain and Cognitive Sciences, to join The Early Childhood Cognition Lab at MIT under the direction of Dr. Laura Schulz to investigate the origins of children’s early commonsense understanding of the world, broadly interested in factors that affect children's curiosity, exploration and learning; be responsible for helping the lab support online developmental research; manage and maintain our human subjects research protocols; oversee materials for participant recruitment; and support the lab's relationship with the broader community and, particularly, our partners at the Boston Children's Museum, and support faculty, graduate students and post‐docs in research, including training and supervising undergraduate research assistants, coding data, maintaining video files and databases, maintaining the lab webpage and assisting with grant submissions.

    Job Requirements

    REQUIRED: Bachelor’s degree; a minimum of two years of research experience, which can include work from undergraduate experience if related to the job (lab work) and demonstrated interest in behavioral or developmental research; experience working with young children, parents, and the community, preferably in a research setting; administrative and managerial experience; robust technical and computer skills; organizational skills, independence and initiative, flexibility, excellent communication skills; PREFERRED: Expertise or experience with the Children Helping Science platform, programming, database management, and website maintenance; and a bachelor’s degree in psychology, cognitive science, philosophy, linguistics, or a related field.
