Job Descriptions:
The Blake School seeks to hire a dynamic one-year interim Latin teacher for grades 9-12, capable of teaching all levels of Upper School Latin, for the 2025-26 school year. This is a .75, benefits-eligible position. Applicant review will begin April 2, 2025.
The search committee will begin reviewing applications on April 2 and until the position is filled. Blake will cover the travel and lodging costs for finalist candidates visiting from out of town.

Required Experience:
Essential Responsibilities:
+ Teach three sections of Latin at various levels of the Upper School curriculum
+ Advise a group of 10-12 students
+ Hold conferences with students and parents in the fall and spring
+ Participate in departmental, divisional and all-school initiatives and meetings
Qualifications:
+ Undergraduate degree in classical languages, linguistics or a related field with a strong preference for an advanced degree or work toward an advanced degree in a relevant field
+ Substantial professional experience in world language education with a preference for experience teaching at the upper school (grade 9-12) levels
