Job Description: Peripheral Interventional Cardiologist
The University of Miami, Miller School of Medicine, is searching for a Peripheral Interventional Cardiologist to join our dynamic cardiovascular team. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a cutting-edge, patient-centered environment, focusing on the diagnosis and treatment of peripheral artery disease (PAD) and other vascular conditions.
Responsibilities:
+ Perform diagnostic and interventional procedures for peripheral vascular disease, including angioplasty, stenting, atherectomy, and endovenous interventions.
+ Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of cardiologists, vascular surgeons, and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care to patients wiih complex cardiovascular and peripheral vascular conditions.
+ Provide high-quality, compassionate care to patients, ensuring timely diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up.
+ Engage in clinical research to advance the field of peripheral vascular intervention and contribute to publications and academic endeavors.
+ Participate in the teaching and training of medical students, residents, and fellows within the cardiovascular department.
+ Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the latest techniques and technologies in peripheral vascular interventions and ensure integration into clinical practice.
+ Provide leadership in the expansion of peripheral intervention services within the institution and across outreach locations.
Qualifications:
+ MD or DO degree, board-certified or board-eligible in Cardiovascular Disease .
+ Fellowship training in Peripheral Vascular Intervention or Interventional Cardiology with a focus on peripheral vascular procedures.
+ Extensive experience in performing complex peripheral interventions, including endovascular procedures for PAD, critical limb ischemia, and other vascular diseases.
+ Strong academic and research background, with a desire to contribute to advancing clinical practices.
+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
+ Commitment to patient care excellence, quality improvement, and education.
