Job Overview:

TheRN Nurse Residencyprogram provides new nurse a safe, caring, supportive and robust learning environment for a new RN nurse to gain clinical competency and achieve transition from student to professional.

Qualifications

Required:

+ Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing

+ Graduation within the last year and/or less than 6-months of nursing practice

+ Demonstrated passion in the area of interest

+ Flexibility to attend orientation as determined by the program

+ GPA over 3.2

+ Leadership and desire to become involved in a professional practice journey

+ Ability to attend focus groups and additional learning requirements for practice achievement

Preferred:

+ BSN degree

Certifications and Licenses Required:

+ Current New Jersey RN license

+ Current AHA BLS Certification & NRP

Scheduling Requirements:

+ Mother Baby Unit Night Shift June 2025

Essential Functions:

+ A preceptor and relationship-guided new graduate transition program.

+ Continuing education and ongoing enhancement of professional development.

+ An understanding and application of professional accountability and ethical practice inherent in the role of the registered nurse.

+ Recognition of the effects of skilled nursing practice on patient safety, quality and satisfaction.

+ Using a holistic and relationship-centered nursing practice framework of Jean Watson s Theory of Human Caring

+ Self-care highlighted as important to a safe and fulfilling nursing practice for nurse and patient.

+ Hired into the area of specialty

+ Variable Shifts
