Summary

Simplot Grower Solutions is looking to fill a seasonal Truck Driver/Warehouse position. Full-time, temporary, position with full benefits and the opportunity for substantial over-time hours. The primary responsibility is to operate trucks, deliver fertilizer and chemicals and assist with plant operations.

Key Responsibilities

Performs varied responsibilities such as:

+ Driving tender truck, ensuring timely deliveries to customers and applicators

+ Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws and regulations (pre-trip, load securement, etc.)

+ Maintain a clean vehicle

+ Maintain safety policy and completing training

+ Accurately complete daily pre-trip inspections and notify supervisors of any needed repairs

+ May assist with recordkeeping related to warehouse/inventory responsibilities

+ Performs varied responsibilities such as: equipment and plant maintenance including welding, pump and engine overhauls, painting, and general housekeeping responsibilities

+ Loading and delivering fertilizer and chemicals to customers

+ Miscellaneous duties such as assisting with special projects, attending training sessions, etc.

Typical Education

High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

Skills & Relevant Experience

+ 1+ years related experience and/or training

+ Truck driving experience preferred

+ Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing

+ Knowledge of local rural geography a plus

+ Knowledge of farm operations a plus

+ Experience operating a manual transmission a plus

+ Ag background preferred

+ Ability to perform a variety of tasks in succession, ie: blending products together, loading a truck, driving truck to farm

Requirements

+ Must hold and maintain a Class A or B CDL, or have the ability to obtain a Seasonal CDL

+ Must hold and maintain a DOT Medical Certificate card

+ Must pass a DOT/Pre-employment drug screen

+ Hazmat and Tanker Endorsements preferred

+ Must be able to lift 50lbs

+ Must be able to perform all essential functions of the job

+ Must be willing and able to work Ag Industry hours, which may include: early morning, late evenings, weekends, and holidays as Seasonal needs demand
