The Blake School seeks to hire a dynamic one-year interim science teacher for grades 9-12 capable of teaching all levels of biology and possibly biology-based electives for the 2025-26 school year. This is a 1.0, benefits-eligible position. Applicant review will begin April 2, 2025.

Essential Responsibilities:
+ Teach four sections of a combination of biology and biology advanced science electives at various levels in the Upper School (grades 9-12)
+ Advise a group of 10-12 students
+ Hold conferences with students and parents in the fall and spring and write narrative comments for each student at the end of each semester
+ Participate in departmental, divisional and all-school initiatives and meetings
Required Experience:
Qualifications:
+ Undergraduate degree in science or science education or a related field with a strong preference for an advanced degree or work toward an advanced degree in a relevant field
+ Substantial professional experience in science education with a preference for experience teaching at the upper school (grade 9-12) levels
