SUMMARY

The Lead Worship Minister is the primary leader of the worship and technical teams for Pinelake's Oxford campus. This person will be responsible for the spiritual health and musical development of the teams within his/her care. As a leader, the Lead Worship Minister will develop, implement, direct and promote a Worship Ministry that is relevant to both the Pinelake Oxford congregation and to the wider community. The Lead Worship Minister also serves as the primary worship leader for Sunday worship services and other services as appropriate.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

+ Works in coordination with the overall goals and objectives of Pinelake Church.

+ Assists the Campus Pastor to work toward excellence in all areas of the ministry.

+ As a part of the overall Oxford staff team, participate in campus-wide ministry events and the shepherding of our Oxford faith family.

+ Basic personal responsibilities:

+ Maintain a vital and growing personal walk with the Lord through committed Bible study, prayer, meditation and practicing L3.

+ Maintain proper priorities in your home including your spouse and children (if married and/or with children).

+ Faithfully support the ministries of Pinelake by maintaining wise stewardship measures over the resources entrusted to you.

+ Maintain active participation in community.

+ Reflect a growing awareness and practice of personal Emotional Healthy Spirituality.

+ Perform duties and responsibilities in a manner to glorify Christ and further the mission and ministry purposes of Pinelake Church (Colossians 3:23-24).

+ Value the 7 H's of our staff culture in your heart, home, and life (Humility, Honor, Honesty, Hunger, Holy Spirit, Health and Harmony).

SPECIFIC LIST OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

+ Lead, plan, oversee and evaluate all components of the Worship Ministry for the Oxford Campus.

+ Establish goals and objectives for this ministry and initiate strategies to fulfill them.

+ Work in coordination with the overall goals and objectives of Pinelake's vision and core values.

+ Work closely with Lead Pastor of Worship (One Church) to ensure continuity of worship service programming among campuses.

+ Plan and promote activities to support the Worship Ministry's strategies and supervise the communication of these activities to other staff members and the church congregation as appropriate.

+ Provide training opportunities to Worship Ministry servant leaders in keeping with the principles taught in Ephesians 4:11-12.

+ Conduct regular planning meetings with subordinates and servant leaders.

+ Prepare and manage assigned budget within the parameters established by the Campus Pastor.

+ Assist other ministers as necessary in the successful completion of regular worship events and special events.

+ Participate in the selection of worship resources to effectively communicate God's eternal truths; remain up to date on new resources.

+ Perform administrative duties such as compiling reports, preparing expense reports, and completing purchasing orders as specified by church policy.

+ Perform other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead/Supervise the associate worship pastor and director of worship production.

Supervises and coordinates work with servant leaders.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Bachelor's degree as a minimum. A four to six years of applicable experience leading worship as well as parallel leadership of staff as well as servant leaders. Must also exhibit proficiency in leading worship from a primary instrument.
