Job Responsibilities
+ A member of the construction team reporting to the Construction Superintendent or Scaffold Foreman
+ Loading and offloading scaffold materials
+ Inspects equipment being used and remove from service any equipment found defective
+ Work as directed erecting and dismantling scaffolding; inspect and sort scaffolding as required
+ Carrys out good housekeeping and continually cleaning general deck areas to remove potential obstructions and return equipment and material not in use to their designated storage areas
+ Participate in JSA’s and all other Safety, Health and Environmental Processes.
+ Conduct behavioral based safety observations.
Skills & Experience
+ Recent offshore scaffold building experience REQUIRED
+ Experienced using safe work habits.
Valid TWIC card is mandatory.
Physical Demands
+ The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, climb or balance, and will also frequently stoop, kneel, bend, crouch, or crawl; and walk on uneven surfaces.
+ The employee must be able to swing on a swing rope to board offshore structures / vessels.
+ Lift up to 50 lbs. without assistance.
+ Specific vision abilities required by this job. Including close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
+ Must be capable of hearing audio warning signals.
+ The employee must be capable of wearing personal protective equipment, including hearing protection, safety glasses and steel toed boots.
+ Position requires working long strenuous hours.
Must be able to successfully complete the required pre- placement physical exam and lift capacity evaluation and pre-employment drug and alcohol test and successfully be enrolled in DISA.
