    Fabrication Shop Location: Amelia, La.

    Job Responsibilities

    + A member of the fabrication team reporting to Allison Shop Supervisor.

    + Reads approved construction drawings/ blueprints and lays out full scale drawings of beams, angle iron, and tubing, supports and related equipment.

    + Measure and mark pipes for cutting or threading.

    + Assemble or secure pipes, tubes, fittings or related equipment, according to specifications, by welding , brazing, cementing, soldering or threading joints.

    + Cuts with a hand torch and is capable of assembling all types of structural packages, including pipe supports, handrails, cage ladders, skids made of beam and pipe, and stairways.

     

    Skills & Experience

     

    + Prior Structural Fabrication experience required.

    + Must be able to read isometric drawings and work from them.

    + Experience using safe work habits.

    Candidates will be required to pass:

    + Written Fitter Assessment

    + Hands on Fitter Test
