**Pay Range:** $25.20 - $39.69 per hour

Summary:
The Supervisor of Specialty Pharmacy Technicians coordinates the daily operational functions of the pharmacy technicians. The Supervisor provides orientation and training for all new technicians, routinely evaluates and critiques technical skill levels and maintains positive lines of communication for the technical staff and pharmacy management. This position, under a pharmacist's supervision, performs technical and clerical tasks associated with the preparation, labeling and dispensing of medications including sterile IV and chemotherapy admixtures. In addition, performs tasks pertaining to pharmacy quality control, management of pharmacy records, inventory control and preparation of orders for drugs for patients of the Professional Office Building Infusion Pharmacy. Such medication orders are prepared up to the point of final checking and dispensing by registered pharmacists. Required Job Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or GED.
• 5 years of related experience, with 2 years’ experience as a lead
• Valid State of Illinois Pharmacy Technician license
• PTCB Certification
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Flexibility with work schedule.
• Excellent problem solving skills and the ability to work independently and quickly in responding to and resolving a wide range of problems.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Dependable in attendance and job performance.
• Good organizational and time management skills.
• Team player with a positive attitude and work ethic.
Preferred Job Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree
• Successful completion of an approved/accredited Pharmacy technician training program.
Responsibilities:
1. Supervise operational activities of pharmacy technicians, coordinate staff to meet daily priorities and resolve issues.
2. Serve as the direct supervisor for pharmacy technicians. Complete mid-point evaluations and annual evaluations.
3. Prepare, document and deliver coaching and progressive discipline for pharmacy technicians in area of direct oversight.
4. Participate in recruitment and hiring for pharmacy technicians.
5. Develop, implement and maintain a formal onboarding training and development program for newly hired technician staff.
6. Responsible for completing the schedule for all pharmacy technicians and ensuring timely completion of work and flexibility to meet fluctuating demands.
7. Responsible for tracking and approving bi-weekly payroll for pharmacy technicians in area of direct oversight including tracking and reporting overtime and unavailability occurrences.
8. Responsible for evaluating, refining, developing and implementing work flow processes.
9. Participate in pharmacy management leadership meetings.
10. Assist in the continual development of the Pharmacy Department Technician Career Ladder.
11. Oversee the Pharmacy Technician Council.
12. Participate in the Pharmacy Operations committee, develop and implement suggestions to improve pharmacy operations.
13. Work in collaboration with managers and technicians to develop cross training strategies and core leadership skills.
14. Ensure regulatory compliance with relevant standards of practice.
15. Perform other duties as assigned.
