Job Description

HII- Mission Technologies is looking for a Program Manager in Huntsville, AL.

Essential Job Responsibilities

+ Responsible for the profit and loss of a large complex program. Directs all phases of programs from inception through completion. Responsible for serving multiple customers requiring developing and managing plans across several subcontractors.

+ Responsible for overseeing a program contained at one primary geographic location however covering remote locations and multiple business functions and employees directly assigned to program.

+ Program may require new technologies.

+ Responsible for the cost, schedule and technical performance of company programs.

+ Acts as primary customer contact for program activities, leading program review sessions with customer to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance.

+ Develops new business or expands services with the customer.

+ Establishes milestones and monitors adherence to master plans and schedules, identifies program problems and obtains solutions, such as allocation of resources or changing contractual specifications.

+ Leads cross functional teams and works with shared services, such as contracts, subcontracts, human resources, talent acquisition, and security, to perform program management activities.

+ Directs the work of employees including management level assigned to the program from technical, manufacturing and administrative areas.

Minimum Qualifications

+ 8 years relevant progressive experience with Bachelors in related field; 6 years relevant progressive experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 12 years relevant progressive experience.

+ Ability to provide direction to subordinates including management level employees using established policies and precedents.

+ Ability to develop solutions to complex problems that require regular use of ingenuity and creativity.

+ Full working knowledge of procedures and practices.

+ Ability to make decisions relating to program, customer requirements, and employees working on program.

+ Ability to make decisions on behalf of the company in accordance with company policies.

+ Ability to advise on US Army Acquisition and Obsolescence Management policies, procedures, and practices.

+ Familiarity with US Army FMS case management.

+ Clearance- Must have a Secret clearance with the ability to get a TS

Preferred Requirements

+ 4+ years of experience in US Army PEO Missiles and Space Program Office and/or Tactical Air Ground Missile experience (tactical field employment or Program Office).

+ PMP certification.

Physical Requirements

Job performance may require working in an industrial or shipboard environment. Normally not required to lift more than 40 pounds higher than three feet above feet/floor level.
