Job Description Summary:

Part-Time Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) – Outpatient Surgery Center, Kalispell and Polson

Schedule: Part-Time, 20 hours per week

Join our dedicated surgical team at Logan Health! We are seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) to support our outpatient surgery center with expert care during the peri-operative period. This role is critical in ensuring a safe, efficient, and seamless surgical experience for patients and surgeons.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Prepare for surgical procedures by selecting and arranging necessary instruments and equipment.

+ Maintain the integrity of the sterile field and follow aseptic techniques.

+ Anticipate and respond to the needs of the surgical team during procedures.

+ Perform pre- and post-surgical counts of instruments and supplies.

+ Evaluate and maintain instruments and equipment for safe operation.

+ Assist with patient care, including applying dressings and transferring patients post-surgery.

+ Collaborate in updating preference cards and maintaining adequate supply levels.

+ Train and mentor staff as needed and contribute to administrative duties.

Qualifications:

+ Experience: Minimum of 2 years’ experience or certification required.

+ Preferred Expertise:

+ Dental, ENT, General Surgery, Neurosurgery, OB/GYN, Orthopedics

+ Pediatric Neurosurgery, Pediatrics, Plastics/Breasts, Podiatry

+ Robotics, Surgical Oncology, Thoracic, Urology, Vascular

+ Certification:

+ Surgical Technologist Certification preferred (Association of Surgical Technologists, Inc.).

+ Current AHA BLS Certification or ability to obtain within 2 months of hire.

+ Skills:

+ Strong organizational and critical thinking skills.

+ Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and willingness to learn additional software.

Schedule:

Logan Health operates 24 hours per day, seven days per week. Schedules are set to accommodate the requirements of the position and the needs of the organization and may be adjusted as needed.
