    FlexStaff is seeking a Nuclear Radiologic Technologist, Level III to work for one of our external clients, a city health system, located in Brooklyn, NY.

     

    This is 13-weeks contract job. Schedule: 8:00a -4:00p.

    Requirements:

    + Radiologic Technologist, NYS & ARRT Certification

    + Satisfactory completion of formal radiologic technology training in a AMA approved school.

    + Minimal formal education of High School Diploma or equivalent and 1- year job related experience.

     

    In this role you would be performing complex nuclear medicine examinations, including all procedures using radionuclides by operating more advanced nuclear medicine instruments and equipment (e.g., Positron Emission Tomography - Computed Tomography (PET-CT) and Single-Photon Emission Computerized Tomography (SPECT) to assist medical staff in diagnosis and treatment of diseases.

    Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

    + Select and adjust technical factors for imaging.

    + Operate equipment as specified.

    + Develop films as needed.

    + Ensure protection according to safety standards.

    + Assist physicians with injections.

    + Assume acting supervisor role in the supervisor's absence.

    + Practice sterile techniques to prevent contamination.

    + Transport patients to and from the Nuclear Medicine Department when necessary.

    + Conduct and document quality control tests as per manufacturer and regulatory guidelines.

    + Perform and record Radiation Safety Checks in line with safety standards.

    + Maintain a high standard of customer service.

    + Keep accurate records as required.

    + Ensure cleanliness and organization of work areas.

    + Perform additional duties as assigned.

    The salary range for this position is $60-$70/hour
