Overview:This individual is responsible for packaging productions in appropriate bags with correct sell-by dates; at a rate this is profitable and efficient to meet department and company standards. Individual must setup and operate machine in a safe manner.

Job Description:

Responsibilities:

+ Responsible for performing tasks as described and assigned by department Supervisor.

+ Responsible for working in a safe manner.

+ Responsible for ensuring product specifications are attained.

+ Performs job assignment in a cost conscious manner.

+ Strives to satisfy the requirements of internal and external customers.

+ Responsible for being at workstation on time each workday.

+ Works as a team player and communicates with other department members.

+ Ability to be flexible as to various job assignments and working conditions.

+ Responsible for following Good Manufacturing Procedures, Standard Operating Procedures, plant rules and policies.

+ Must be able to pick up 16 pounds repetitively.

+ Responsible for installing, removing, cleaning and re-taping of seal bars.

+ Straightens and aligns each bag on the seal bar.

+ Must keep pace with the line.

+ Adjusts line speed for various products.

+ May be involved in lubrication of 8600.

+ Starts and stops the 8600 machine.

+ May be involved in set-up and tear-down/put-away.

+ Responsible for bringing problems with equipment to Supervisor or Lead Person.

+ Responsible for the 8600 machine.

+ Responsible to monitor correct and legible sell-by dated product.

Qualifications:

+ Less than high school education; or up to one month related experience or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
